The Fashion Pakistan Week went all glitz and glamour when it was kick-started by Shameel Ansari. This three day show is all about grandeur as it will feature the amazing designer collections from all the big names of the Pakistan Fashion industry and all those fashionable people who have been looking forward to new trends for the winter season.
This season is all set to showcase collections from 18 prominent designers who will present semi-formal and bridal collections for winters. The audience is quite excited for the week.
The Day1 of Fashion Pakistan Week started off with Shameel Ansari who chose to present solo show at her residence. Later, the show started with the eye-catching collections that can’t be overlooked. Designers like Misha Lakhani, Aamna Aqeel, Erum Khan, Obaid Sheikh, Saira Rizwan, and Sana Yasir presented a great show.
Misha Lakhani
The show started with Misha Lakhani’s collection which was inspired by Indian and Persian designs. The delicate hand weaved silk and the intricate needle craft embroidery was truly mesmerizing. The color palette included traditional reds, golds, and whites with floral embroidery done on each ensemble. The collection had lehenga cholis and sareers to set the ramp on fire.
Aamna Aqeel
The next designer in the line was Aamna Aqeel who named her collection “Palace Wonderland” which presented the amazing use of pearls fitted magnificently on each piece. There was a modern touch of off-shoulder tops, bell-bottom pants, gharara pants, and cold shoulder tops as well. We could definitely feel the royalty in her collection with the color palette of elegant maroon, golden and black lehenga choli. The modern cuts and flowy designs added to the grace of her collection.

Erum Khan
The third designer of the day was Erum Khan who named her collection “The Bridal Odyssey”. We all have witnessed that how Erum Khan is queen at telling her own story with her collection and she did the same this time around too. She showcased her traditional yet modern designs in the form of cold shoulder cholis, flapper pants, and trendy sleeve-cuts on the shirts along with the use of chains.
Obaid Shaikh
Next designer in the line was Obaid Shaikh who presented his collection “Husan Ara” that featured traditional cuts and designs. The designs were magnificently decorated with intricate embroidery work to make an eccentric impression. He used traditional color palette of red and gold colors. Ghana Ali was showstopper for this show.
Saira Rizwan
She was second last in the designer line up of first day of PFW Winter Festive. She unveiled her collection “Glitterati” which was definitely true to its name. Her show was all blingy with the edgy cuts. She used mixed color palettes from blacks to reds and pastels to yellow that managed to catch our eye but we were not as impressed as we expected to be.
Sana Yasir
Sana Yasir was the limelight of the show and showed up with her trendy bridal and formal collection featuring the outfits in pastel color scheme. She presented embellished pants and shoulder peplum tops paired with the embellished kaftan that stole the spotlight for us. The designer made sure that the traditional touch stands out with the heavily embroidered lehengas. The major attraction of her collection was grey and silver mermaid gown walked by Mehreen Syed that very well elaborated the efforts made by the designer.
The overall show was good but we weren’t as impressed as we expected.
