The most happening event of 2017 took place on 11th December when Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot in Italy to be bound forever in the bond of love. Media, fans, friends – everyone was stunned when the news broke. Internet was all rage – for a good reason.
Earlier, the couple made headlines so many times for the false engagement speculations but the news was confirmed when the duo got married in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy.

Anushka Was All Dressed Up Like a Fairytale Bride

But it was not all that fairytale as it seems
The wedding definitely got the entire country hooked on the news, but the couple’s wedding designer revealed that there was a panic moment in this fairytale wedding too. The most threatening factor was whether that plays spoil support during the festivities. It’s because of weather that the entire wedding setup had to move to indoor courtyard from the outdoor setting.
Virushka’s wedding designer Devika shared with BBC that it wintered in Italy and no one gets married in winters there. On the Mehendi day, they woke up to see the white landscape and frozen dew and tents start dipping by the noon.
If you don’t know then let us tell you that Virat and Anushka’s wedding took place in a lavish spot called Borgo Finnocchieto in Tuscany, Italy where the newlywed couple was surrounded by a close group of family from both the sides.
Anushka was a typical bride, says Devika
Devika also revealed that she did not expect Anushka to be a typical bride that she was. Anushka herself incredibly invested in every decision and detail of the wedding function. All of the wedding arrangements were Anushka’s idea and they just mapped it out for her. Now, wasn’t that cute?
The most important aspect of this beautiful wedding was the secrecy that they kept. Devika said it was very difficult to maintain the secrecy and they couldn’t even take the bride’s and groom’s name. Even when she met Anushka for the first time, she was addressing her as bride rather than calling her name.
India is now waiting for the wedding reception
Virushka will return to India for their two wedding receptions in Delhi and Mumbai. The Delhi reception will be for the relatives and family members while the Mumbai reception will be for their colleagues and friends. Post the receptions, Anushka and Virat will fly off to South Africa after which Anushka and Virat will get busy in their careers.
